Institutional agreement between ETH Domain institutions and Copernicus Publications

We are delighted to announce that the Library for the four Research Institutes within the ETH Domain, namely

  • Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI);
  • Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa);
  • Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (Eawag);
  • Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL)
and Copernicus Publications have signed an agreement on the central settlement of article processing charges (APCs) to facilitate the publication procedure for authors.

All submissions made on or after 1 September 2022 benefit from this agreement as long as the manuscript lists a corresponding author from any of these institutions. This must be indicated during the manuscript registration process by selecting the respective institution from a drop-down list. Upon publication, the APCs will be settled directly between Copernicus Publications and the Library for the four Research Institutes (Lib4RI) without involving the author.
