IAC Program Overview and Information for Submitting IAC Abstracts
The second World Space Congress.2002 will include many joint events (scientific, technical, or otherwise) between COSPAR and the organizations which meet during the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), i.e., the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA), and the International Institute of Space Law (IISL). Some of the joint scientific/technical events have been proposed by COSPAR and others by the IAC. Joint events proposed by COSPAR, along with non-joint COSPAR events, may be viewed by clicking the links above. All authors submitting abstracts for COSPAR events or joint events proposed by COSPAR should follow COSPAR instructions and respect COSPAR deadlines.
On the other hand, authors submitting abstracts for joint events proposed by the IAC should be sure to follow instructions and respect deadlines provided in the IAC materials. Note that the IAC deadline for abstract submission is 1 February 2002 and that all presentations will be oral, i.e., there are no posters for IAC events. Abstracts submitted to the IAC may not be retained because of scheduling restrictions. Because the COSPAR abstract deadline is 1 May 2002, it may be possible to include some of these submissions in COSPAR or COSPAR-proposed joint events. Please be sure to indicate a COSPAR or COSPAR-proposed joint event number to which your submission may be redirected. Acceptance of redirected papers will be left to the discretion of the Main Scientific Organizers of COSPAR or COSPAR-led joint events.
